Who we are

Batchelor and Company is a long established Accountancy practice formed by David Batchelor. He was joined by his son Jeremy Batchelor until David retired. Jeremys’ tragic death saw the end of an era for the business but it has been bought by Marie, who has dedicated her career to the firm. We continue to provide a tailored approach to businesses across the South West. We are a close-knit team based in Cullompton, Devon with an assortment of knowledge, experience and specialties.

At Batchelor & Co we pride ourselves on being approachable and professional to make all aspects of accountancy as smooth as possible from start to finish. We provide a customised service to each of our clients, catering to their specific needs. We have vast experience with both personal and business tax for a varied client base including sole traders, partnerships, clubs, charities and companies.

Being located in a rural area we have a lot of farming clients, and there is always a pair of wellies in Marie’s car ready for a farm visit. We also assist a wide range of businesses and clients both locally and much further afield and feel the personal touch is incredibly important. We strive to be a valued and helpful part of your team.

We understand that many people find dealing with their accountancy affairs daunting and we will always do our utmost to make things as straight forward and stress free as possible.

Marie joined Batchelor & Company in 1994. She is expert in all aspects of accountancy and tax has been ACCA qualified for over 20 years.

Sammy joined the team in 2016 as a trainee and after 7 years of studying and working at Batchelor & Company has now qualified. She is especially interested in accounts preparation and tax.

Shelley joined Batchelor & Company in 2006 and achieved her AAT qualification shortly after. She enjoys a varied role from company accounts to bookkeeping at client’s premises.
